What they’re saying about us!
“Best Visitor Centre in BC!” Everyone loves the Baillie House. Why? Because it’s beautiful, quirky, has history and the people. The people that volunteer there are so welcoming and always are offering some type of amazing refreshment. I ALWAYS try to make a point to stop here while visiting Merritt.
Only Good Things“Stop here for a dose of old time hospitality!” We were blown away by the friendliness of the people. We enjoyed the property, it’s quirky and interesting. The garden is lovely. We were continuously offered free refreshments, and everyone was so welcoming. This will be a regular stop for us.
Happy BC Traveler“Drop by Baillie House for info & meet the locals” We always drop by the Baillie House when travelling through Merritt. The staff are friendly, helpful and informative. Don’t be surprised if they offer you a coffee and freshly baked treat. Baillie House feels like a home away from home.
Quakeup“I’ve Been There Many Times” The uniqueness of the shop & history of how it came about. I didn’t dislike anything about it. The people are very knowledge able & can inform you on any questions you may have.
Valerie Neilson“Fantastic Volunteers” Greeted by very friendly volunteers that offered us a free drink and snack. The property has a cut antique section and some old furniture for sale. The grounds are full of flowers with lots of places to relax! There is also lots of free tourist books and pamphlets!
Katelyn2727“Take a Step Back in Time” Take a step back in time to see the display laid out inside this home. There are many antiques and stories of the beautiful Nicola Valley.
Kieko 55“A Must See In Merritt!” I am so glad we stopped in at the Baillie House for ice cream. It is very beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, and filled with super friendly and helpful people who care for the property, and for out-of-towners and they gave me a free tour.
Jean S“Interesting History… Awesome Staff” I have been through Merritt MANY times and stopped to visit the Baillie House. The two people working inside were awesome ..very friendly and full of interesting information. This area is rich in history & there were good books for sale on the area as well.
Dave B.“Welcome To Merritt” I first came here in the summer of 2014. We stopped at the Baillie. They took such good care of Mom, gave us water, offered us tea, sat us down. Later, learned it’s such a lovely place to learn about Merritt, and still always welcoming!
Daragh Hourigan“Local Brochures and Knowledgeable Tourist Info” Gift shop, garage sale, free tea and coffee, very friendly staff. Best deal and flavour for hard ice cream cones ever. Tables available in a lovely yard for brown bag lunch stop for townies and travelers. Lovely heritage property and staff very helpful.
